Cleveland's own Earl Boykins has bounced all over the NBA and beyond. Playing professionally in the CBA, Italy and the NBA for 10 different teams, Boykins has certainly made a name for himself since starring at Cleveland Central Catholic in the early 90's. Boykins is now playing for the Milwaukee Bucks
Last night, Boykins played a huge part in beating Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers at Staples Center. Boykins scored 22 points in 26 minutes to lead the Bucks to a 98-79 win. It was easily Boykins' best game this season. Known as a streaky shooter, Boykins had played in just 3 of the previous 10 games for Milwaukee.
The Bucks were playing without Brandon Jennings, and had just nine players dressed but because of Boykins were able to finish off the Lakers with a 21-7 run. In case you are wondering, Boykins did spend one season with his hometown team - 1999 - when he played in 25 games for Cleveland, averaging 5.3 points per game.
It's always nice to see a local boy do well, especially one that is not named LeBron James!
