NCAA Basketball Rankings: Buckeyes Stay At #4, Duke #1 In AP College Basketb...

The first in-season AP Poll has been released and as expected there really wasn't much change after a week where all the big guns won their first games of the season.  That includes Ohio State, who won their opener against NC A&T by a 102-61 score on Friday Night. The Buckeyes remained at #4 in the poll.

Duke remained #1 in the poll, followed by Michigan State, Kansas State, OSU and Pittsburgh in the Top-5.

The Big Ten has four teams in the Top-25, with Michigan State(#2), Ohio State(#4), Illinois(#13) and Purdue(#14).

There were a few changes in the poll, however:

  • Gonzaga and Kentucky have switched spots. Kentucky is now No. 11, while Gonzaga is No. 12.
  • Baylor and Butler have switched spots. Baylor is now No. 16, while Butler is No. 17.
  • Temple and Virginia Tech have switched spots. The Hokies are now No. 21, while Temple is No. 22.
  • Tennessee and BYU have switched spots, with Tennessee moving up to No. 23 and BYU dropping to No. 24. This despite Tennessee's shocking 79-64 exhibition loss to Division II Indianapolis.
